
Two new calls for applications have been sent from Collegio Ca’ della Paglia, the graduate college of Fondazione Ghislieri in Pavia (Italy). Home of intense research activity led by its members, Ca’ della Paglia is a merit-based international and graduate college for students enrolled in BA and MA degree courses, PhD courses postgraduate students and resident doctors based at the University of Pavia and at the Scuola Universitaria Superiore di Pavia (IUSS).
Ca’ della Paglia offers 40 fully furnished single ensuite studios, with kitchenette and equipment, wi-fi connection and television. A laundry room and an airconditioned conference/study room are also available, and the college provides cleaning services with linen change. Members have parking rights inside the college gates. Ca’ della Paglia is surrounded by a private garden and is well served by public transport.
Ca’ della Paglia members come from both Italy and abroad. Last year, new members came from as far as Turkey, Lebanon, South Africa and Iran to study in Pavia and enjoy the services provided.
The 2022 calls for application address two different kind of perspective members: international students, and postgraduates from both Italy and abroad.
Two places are reserved to international students enrolled in Bachelor or Master Degree courses at the University of Pavia. Winners will be required a monthly all-inclusive fee of €550, which can be waived or reduced thanks to scholarships: the Famiglia Tavazzani Scholarship (€6,600), a grant awarded to one international student enrolled in the first year of the MA course Agrifood and Sustainability, which also includes free weekday lunches at Collegio Ghislieri buttery; the Ca’ della Paglia Scholarship (€1,650), a grant which covers the college fee in the Summer month.

Eleven places are instead open to PhD students, students enrolled at the medical School of Specialization, resident doctors, MA students based at the University of Pavia or at IUSS. This call is open to perspective members of all nationalities. Winners will be required a monthly all-inclusive fee of of €550, which can be waived or reduced thanks to scholarships: the Centro Ricerca e Didattica Universitaria (CRDU) Scholarship (€6,600), which covers the full costs of the Ca’ della Paglia post for resident doctors, PhD students in biomedical subjects or students enrolled at the medical School of Specialization; the Ca’ della Paglia Scholarship (€1,650), a grant which covers the college fee in the Summer month.
